Panel Survey Overview

Purpose

Establish panel data that can comprehensively understand changes in the growth and development of children and youth, and provide the established data as a base material for policy establishment and academic research related to children and youth

Survey History

Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey 2010(KCYPS 2010): 2010-2016

  • (Purpose) Establish data to understand personal development and development environment of children and youth in chronological order
  • (Subject) 2,300 individuals each in 1st year in elementary school, 4th year in elementary school, and 1st year in middle school as of 2010(total 7,071individuals)

Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018(KCYPS 2018): 2018-

  • (Purpose) Establish data to view complex changes regarding growth and development of children and youth in systemic and multi-dimensional perspective
  • (Subject) 2,500 individuals each in 4th year in elementary school and 1st year in middle school as of 2018 (total 5,197 individuals)
